What is Reputation?

If you do something the GM thinks would earn you a reputation, they can assign you a Reputation level 1-10.


When you meet new people, you must roll 1d10. If you roll under, they’ve heard of you. Can be good or bad.

What’s a Facedown?

When 2 people are glaring at each other until one person gets intimidated.

What do you roll in a Facedown?

Both roll COOL + Reputation + 1d10

What happens to the loser of the Facedown?

They willingly back off OR take -2 to all actions against that person out of fear*


*wears off after they defeat them once

How do you use a social skill?

Same as all skills:

What kinds of things affect how hard the DV (Difficulty Value) will be to beat?

How gullible the target is…how the target already feels about you…how the target feels in general…if either you or the target are inebriated or at other advantages/disadvantages, etc

When would you use the Bribery skill?

To bribe someone

When would you use the Conversation Skill?

When you want to smoothly learn information from a casual conversation

When would you use the Human Perception Skill?

To tell if someone is hiding something like emotions or deception

When would you use the interrogation skill?

When you want to forcibly extract information from people.


Does include physical torture too if you want!

When would you use persuade?

When you want to convince, persuade, or influence individuals or a group of something.

When would you use the Trading skill?

When you want to strike a good bargain with a merchant or customer

Which social skill would you roll to successfully lie?

Persuasion

What social skill would you roll to seduce someone?

Depends on your flirting! GM will decide.


If you’re convincing someone to go on a date with you, Persuasion.


If you’re strutting by looking cute, maybe Personal Grooming.


If you’re giving bedroom eyes, maybe Acting.

What are some things you can use the social skill, Streetwise, for?

Any social interactions with “lowly” types, I.e. buying drugs on the street, getting gangers to trust you, figuring out where the criminal your squad might be looking for is

What kinds of things does a Fixer arrange?

Mostly they are the middle men for Runs (jobs) between Edgerunners and clients. They also help arrange underground business meetings and private selling or buying of (usually illegal) goods.

What’s the Role that Fixers have that helps them deal with people?

Operator

What does Operator do?

Gives the Fixer specific Contacts, discounts at markets, and the ability to understand other cultures/languages.


Eventually can negotiate higher pay for jobs for their squad and even get some items for free.

What’s the Media’s Role and what’s it do?

Credibility: GM rolls on Media’s behalf to see if Media hears any passive rumors, Media can roll to seek active rumors, and Media gains a scalable Access to NPCs/Audience/Believability and Impact for every story they produce and share with the world.

How does the GM handle Passive Rumors for the Media?

Twice a week (so 4 times at the start of a biweekly game) the GM will roll the Media’s Credibility Rank + 1d10 and clue the Media in on a rumor of the highest level DV they beat.

How does a Media search for an Active Rumor?

They use whatever strategy they want to try and use to track down the the rumor (like Conversation or Library Search) and then do a skillcheck with that skill

The types of people that a Media may be able to talk to for purposes of an interview or convince to have a meeting with over a similar type of job prospect.

The maximum reach the Media’s stories can have.

The chances of people believing this story.

Charismatic Impact. Rockerboy can roll to turn people into Fans, perform at scalable levels of venues, and roll to ask for scalable levels of favors and devotion from Fans.

Can Rockerboys make Fans out of people who already dislike them?

No

What is the Lawman’s Role and how does it work?

Backup. When in danger, roll 1d10 and if Rank or lower, your Backup Rank’s people will show up in 1d6 Rounds to assist you in combat. If you roll a 6, Backup that shows up is 1 Rank higher.


Backup has a specific Combat Number (skill + stat # for all checks), SP (armor), HP, and MOVE/BODY.


If abused, your boss will be upset and can punish you.

What’s the Exec’s Role and what does it give the Exec?

Teamwork. The Exec gets work perks at certain ranks like housing and health insurance, and gets to pick a number of “team members” (minions) that you can boss around so long as you keep them happy.

How does the Exec’s Team Members mechanic work?

When the Exec gets a Team Member, choose a Job. Roll 1d6 for Stats. 1d6 +1 = starting Loyalty. Loyalty raises and decreases depending on their treatment by the Exec and may betray or quit if Loyalty reaches 0.


Team Members have default Skills, Gear, and Cyberware depending on Job.


GM plays Team Members.

What determines if a Team Member will obey the demands of the Exec?

When asked to do something, the GM rolls 1d6. If under their Loyalty, success. If failed, Team Member either fails or botches the assignment.

Does Loyalty of an Exec’s Team Members stick between games?

Yes but it always falls back down to a maximum of 10 in between games.

What happens if the Team Member dies or quits due to low Loyalty?

HR will replace them in time and Exec must pay “hiring fee” of 200 Eddie’s.
