(American Speech-Language and Hearing Association)- the professional organization that provides certification to speech-language pathologists and audiologists as well as setting criteria and monitoring accreditation of academic programs and facilities providing clinical services in communication sciences and disorders.
Audiologist
a professional who studies, assesses, and treats individuals who have hearing impairments. They may evaluate and diagnose hearing loss; and provide educational and/or rehabilitative services.
Speech-Language Pathologist
a professional who assesses and treats a variety of individuals with speech and/or language disorders.
License
