Generally, a crime requires
(1) actus reus (physical act),
(2) mens rea (mental state), and
(3) concurrence of the act and mental state.
It may also require proof of a result and causation
physical act - must be voluntary; omission if (1) specific duty to act; (2) D has knowledge of facts giving rise to duty to act; (3) reasonably possible to perform duty.
