A crime is breaking the law of that country.
What religious crimes are there?
Sin- Breaking a moral law, such as christians breaking a commandment and muslims breaking the Shariah lay,
Blasformy- Insulting God, using his name for the wrong purpose.
Also holding someone higher than god is seen as a crime.

Why should we spend £35,000 a year on a prisoner?, Prison may not be as bad as the crime they have commited, They can associate with violent criminals and follow in their footsteps.
