What is Clock speed and how is it measured?
A CPU's clock speed rate is a measure of how many clock cycles a CPU can perform per second. It is measured in Hertz, Megahertz or Gigahertz. (Hz, Mhz or Ghz) |
How do CPUs process data? |
First they fetch the instructions. After that the CPU decodes and executes the data. This is called the fetch-decode-execute cycle. |
What is cache and how does it affect a computer? |
Cache is a small amount of memory which is a part of the CPU. It is used to temporarily hold instructions and data that the CPU is likely to reuse. It increases the speed of a computer. |
What is meant by a Dual core CPU? |
A CPU that can fetch decode and execute double of what a single core CPU can. |
