what is the tx of mono?
largely symptomatic
increase fluids
abdominal protection
rest if fatigue
motrin/tylenol for pain/fever
no contact sports x4 weeks
corticosteroids only with significant complications such as pharyngeal edema
why can't you give asa to a child?
leads to reyes syndrome
is there a known benefit from anti-viral tx for mono?
