6 advance tube until base of adaptor is aligned with teeth /finds


7 inflate cuffs

1 gently ventilate patient while simultaneously withdrawing tube


2 confirm placement via 5 point auscultation, chest rise, etco2


3 secure king LT


4 if unsuccessful after 30 seconds stop and re oxygenate


5 maximum 2 attempts


6 if patient begins to vomit, turn head /body to side, deflate cuffs auction and re evaluate


7 document pre and post vitals complications and response to treatment.
