Car Rental and Travel Expense

(R)


Car Rental Expense - Pays for renting a car up to the available limits when the insured car is not drivable or is being repaired due to a covered comprehensive or collision loss.


Travel Expenses - Pays for meals, lodging and transportation up to the available limits if the insured car is disabled as a result of a covered comprehensive or collision loss occurring more than 50 miles from home.

Collision

Collision coverage pays for damage to a covered vehicle caused by::

* Collision with another vehicle
* Collision with an object and/or person
* A vehicle rollover
* G500 represents Collision coverage with a $500 deductible.

Comprehensive

(D)


Comprehensive coverage pays for loss of or damage to an insured vehicle by an uncontrollable event and not caused by a collision or vehicle rollover. Causes of loss include:


Fire, Wind, Hail, Flood, Vandalism, Theft, Hitting an animal or bird

* D500 represents Comp coverage with a $500 deductible.
* ANYTHING OUT OF YOUR CONTROL

Death, Dismemberment and Loss of Sight

(S)


This coverage pays a specific amount if the covered person dies, sustains dismemberment, or loses sight as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident.


Example:

* S5 represents $5,000 in coverage.

Emergency Road Service

(H) ERS coverage provides service when the insured vehicle is not drivable or operational for any reason.

* Mechanical labor, for up to one hour for the insured car at the place of breakdown
* Towing to the nearest repair facility
* Towing a covered vehicle out of a location where it is stuck
* Delivery charge for delivery of gas, oil, tire, or battery
* Locksmith services, for up to one hour

Loss Of Earnings

(Z)


This coverage pays a percentage, up to the policy limits, of a covered person’s lost earnings as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident.

Medical Payments

(C)


MPC pays medical and funeral expenses sustained by the insured and all passengers in an insured vehicle resulting from an auto accident. There is a per person limit for each accident.


Example:

* C5000 represents MPC coverage of $5,000 per person.

No Fault/ Personal Injury Protection

(PIP)


PIP coverage pays medical expenses and a percentage of lost wages due to injuries resulting from an auto accident. It does not take into account fault. Coverage may also apply for rehabilitation, replacement of services (e.g. housework) and funeral expenses.


Underinsured Motor Vehicle Coverage

(W)


This coverage pays damages when a covered person is injured in a car accident caused by a driver who is insured but doesn’t have enough liability insurance to cover the damages. It covers the difference between the limits of this coverage and the amount paid by the driver at fault.

Uninsured Motor Vehicle Coverage

(U)


This coverage pays damages for injury to an insured when the insured is in a car accident caused by another person who does not have liability insurance. In some states/provinces, this coverage may also pay for property damage.
