Explain "binary" tapering
|
A protocol that reduces the daily steroid dose by 50% once inflammation control is achieved (ex qid for 1 week, then bid for 1 week, the bd for the final week).
If inflammation is well under control after only a few days, the taper may be more rapid (ex qid for 3 days, then bid for 3 days, then cease treatment). |
