Reference value that the control system attempts to keep the measured variable at

The difference between the current measurement and the set point

Gain

How well the feedback can counter change e.g gain of 4 means 4/5 of the change stopped

Range

Limits over which feedback can provide control, feedback can not stop a change that is too large for it to handle

Power

Slope of the input/output function. More power more gain but more instability.
