Section 1 (Legislative)

All legislative powers to the congress, a bicameral or 2 part body. consists of senate (equal representation by state) and house of rep (equal representation by population)

Section 2 (House of Rep Rules)

Lower House of representatives. Min requirements: 25 age, 7yr citizen, 2yr terms. People elect members. Chooses officers and Leader: "Speaker of the House" The members of the house are divided among the states proportionally, according to population. Power to Impeach.

Section 3 (Senate)

Upper house of congress, the senate. Min requirements: 30 age, 9yr citizen, 6y term. Each states has 2 senators. "Majority Leader" regardless of population. Confirms presidential nominees and treaties. Vice president, leader of the senate. Vice does not vote unless there is a tie.

Section 4 (Electing congress)

Each state establishes own method for electing members of the congress. Meets once a year.

Section 5 (Congress rules)

Congress has min number present in order to meet, members may be expelled, must keep journal to record votes and proceedings, neither house can meet without permission of other.

Section 6 (Congress Hacks)

Members of congress will be paid, cannot be detained while traveling to and from congress, and cannot hold any other office in the government while in congress.

Section 7 (Law)

How bills become laws. any bill for raising money must start in house. All bills must pass both houses of congress. Bills that pass both houses are sent to president. He can sign bill to become law or veto. If vetod, bill is sent back to congress. If both houses pass two thirds majority, will becomes law. (Overriding veto)

Section 8 (Congress Powers)

Lists specific powers of congress, including the power to establish/maintain army and navy, post offices, courts, regulate commerce between states, declare war, raise money. Elastic clause allows it to pass any law necessary for the carrying out of previously listed powers.

Section 9 (Congress Limits)

Places limits on congress. Suspension of habeas corpus, bills, ex post facto laws are prohibited.

Section 10 (States Limits)

Prohibits the states from making own money, declaring war, and many similar things prohibited by congress. Cannot tax goods from other states.
