Haydn stayed bc he experimented had orchestra and no competition though he was servant After Prince Esterhazy's death, he stayed in Vienna (after 1791) 1729 - on trip to England was giving Honorary degree of Doctor of Music by Oxford University 1800 - wife and two brothers passed away within 6 years Met Mozart and Beethoven

Wrote Revolutionary etude after Warsaw suffered a revolt. Moved to Paris after Russian invasion. Made money teaching Met liszt in 1832 (friends) 1835 Met Robert Schumann on trip to Leipzig Met Aurure Dudevant (George sand) through liszt 1838 traveled to Majorca together.
