What are red blood cells and what are their role in the blood?
The red blood cells contain haemoglobin, they are made in the bone marrow. They are disc shaped with no nucleus.

(hint-name the two different types)
Lymphocytes: About the same size as red blood cells but have a nucleus. They produce antibodies to destroy microorganisms and some lymphocytes will stay in our blood after infection to give us complete immunity.

Phagocytes: These are larger cells which have a spherical nucleus. They engulf bacteria and other microorganisms to give us immunity.
What is plasma?
They are a fluid part of the blood and carry CO2, hormones and waste.
