What the contrast between Norm Referenced and Criterion Reference Testing?
Norm Reference is in regards to the trait being measured yielding an estimate of the position of the tested individual in a predefined population.

Criterion Reference translates the test scores into a statement about the behaviour and scores of the individual and their relationship to what is being tested
