Contraindications: Diabetes, Hyperthyroidism, HTN, Aggression, Bipolar Disorder, Psychoses, Cardiac Disorders, Tourette Syndrome, Drug Abuse

Withdrawl Symptoms: Anxiety, Agitation, Hypersomnia, Dysphoric Mood, Severe Depression, Suicidal Ideas

*Should not be stopped abdruptly

Non Stimulant Therapy

MOA: Increases amount of NE which increases brain activity

AE: Irratability, Insomnia, Orthostatic Hypotension, Tachycardia, HTN, Palpitations, Rhinorrhea, Nasal Congestion, Weight Loss, Urinary Rentention, Impotence

SAE: Chest pains, palpitations, difficulty urinating, weight loss, suicide thoughts, Jaundice

*Liver function should be assessed prior
*Hepatic enzyme elevation should warrant discontinuation
*Change Positions Slowly
*Report abnormal/aggressive behavior
