Integrate, standardize and support Learning Centers in delivering Knowledge to the fleet.
Responsibility of Learning Centers (formerly referred to as Learning Sites)
-Provide centrally procured training materials.
-Review and approve training schedules.
-Ensure Catalog of Navy Training Courses (CANTRAC) data accuracy.
Course Curriculum Model Managers (CCMM or C2M2)
The CCMM is responsible for developing, revising, and maintaining a course of instruction. Print and distribute a master copy of all training materials. Maintain a master copy and course audit trail. Initiate changes to the Navy Integrated Training Resources and Administrative System (NITRAS).
Participating Activities ( PA or Alternate Learning Center)
-Provide assistance to CCMM on developing, modifying or revising curricula.
-Recommend modifications to the course, CANTRAC, and NITRAS to the CCMM.
-Maintain a master copy of all training materials.
-Conduct Formal Course Reviews (FCR).
-Incorporate training material modifications received from the
-CCMM and originate interim changes to the curriculum.
Describe the "A", "C", and "F" type courses of instruction
"A" Initial Skill Training (Awards the Rating)
"C" Skill Progression Training (Awards NEC).
"F" Functional Training (Awards certificate, firefighting, EPA, Plane Captain)
Describe the instructor certification process in your training command
-Have the NEC for the course that will be instructed, and the Navy Instructor NEC (Navy Enlisted Classification) 9502 awarded by JIT school.
-Complete the Instructor Indoctrination Training. (including command and course indoctrination)
-Receive (2) satisfactory pre-certification "P" evaluations.

-Operational attrition is a loss to the Navy.

-Training attrition is a loss/drop in the training course
Discuss the Academic Review Board (ARB) process.
ARB members will review student records before the interview and consider all relevant factors pertaining to the individual student. It is imperative that each student's situation is evaluated thoroughly.

The ARB board will conduct an interview with the student present. The ARB interview will be conducted respecting student’s dignity and privacy and the Chairman will explain the student why the board was convened and the process the ARB follows. The student will be allowed to ask questions and offer explanations before the board makes any recommendation.

The ARB will recommend a course of action, complete necessary paperwork and forward their recommendation to the LSO/LCPO.
Discuss test failure policies and associated grading criteria within your learning environment.
When a test is failed the student is to receive remediation from another instructor either covering the whole test or only the parts missed. The student then will retest the next day and if the student passes they will receive the minimum passing grade for that test.
