Laminectomy

To relieve pressure of the spinal cord and the spinal nerves by performing a sugical procedure , where u can cut the spinous process off the vertebral body in question.This procedure is not used any more , coz once the spinous process is removed it can never be attached again and even if u do it will lead to necrosis and if u remove it completely the fiberous tissue will cover it but u can still feel a space there and will call problems later on.
