How do you manage a blood spillage?

1. Deal with it immediately


2. PPE - gloves, apron, mask, visor


3. Clean up excess with paper towels


4. Use chlorine releasing agent - sodium hypochlorite or sodium dichloroisocyanurate 10,000 ppm for 3-5 mins or manufacturer's instructions


5. Then clean with normal detergent and dispose of in clinical waste

1. Don't resheath needles
