First step of starting a claim... |
Submit a N1 claim form naming the defendant and stating the facts of the claim, including the amount of damages being sought |

Second stage of starting a claim... |
The court sends the N1 to the defendant. Defendant given the opportunity to admit the claim and pay the amount or defend the claim. |

Third stage of starting a claim... |
If the defendant defends the claim the court sends an allocation questionnaire to both parties. |

The claimant has to pay a fee which is dependant on the amount being claimed. |
