Decisions are made by a majority vote, leaders are elected by citizens, leaders must seek reelection, and citizens can question leadership.

Decision making is limited to one person or a small group, leaders are self appointed, leaders are replaced when they want to go, and citizens are discouraged from questioning authority.

The government has to listen to EVERYONE'S opinions so they can't make change as quickly, and a majority of Canada is unhappy.

What is the "first-past-the-post" system?

A system that means the party with the most MPs from different ridings forms the new government. Gerrymandering comes into play because ridings make your vote count for less. This system favors a two party system, which discourages people to vote for who they truly want to win and instead they turn to strategic voting.
