Dorsal Arteries go to various parts of the body and the Pulmonary arteries go to the heart and lungs.
What 4 things make up blood?
Red Blood Cells, White blood cells, Platelets, and Plasma
What three smaller systems make up the circulatory system and where do they go?
Systemic system caries blood to different tissues of the body, Pulmonary carries it to the heart and lungs and the coronary carries it to the heart itself
Where does the systemic system take blood?
All the tissues of your body except the heart and lungs
What do blood vessels do?
deliver oxygen and nutrient rich blood to the tissues and remove the poor blood from the tissue

To the kidneys where the waste is filtered out blood

To the liver where it filters out the sugar so it can store it for later use

Cardiovascular Disease, Hypertension, Deep Vein Thrombosis, Sickle cell Anemia, and Hemophilia.
What are 2 types of Cardiovascular Disease and what are they?
Coronary Artery Disease is the narrowing of the arteries that feed the heart and can cause a heart attack; and a Stroke is when a blood vessel or artery is blocked or when it breaks
What is hypertension and what are the two ways it can occur?
when the blood pressure flowing through your blood vessels is very high; Systolic blood pressure is when the blood is pushed out into the body and Diastolic is when its pushed back to the heart
What is Deep Vain thrombosis and who does it affect?
It affects people who are immobile for a long time and occurs when a blood clot develops deep inside a vain of a persons leg.
What is Sickle Cell Anemia and what Causes it?
It occurs when your hemoglobin is defective and your red blood cells are deformed and cant pass through small blood vessels
What is Hemophilia and what causes it?
when your body is lacking blood clotting proteins found in blood and you suffer from prolonged beating because your body cant form a clot
