Through following Jesus Christ's actions, Christianity keeps alive the distinctive nature of the living religious tradition, particularly in the significant practice of Baptism in most denominations, as it was Jesus's great commission that adherents, "...Baptise in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" (Matthew 28:19).
