Flexion

The act of bending or decreasing the angle between bones

Extension

Increasing the angle between bones

Hyperextension

Increases the joint angle beyond the anatomic position

Abduction

Moving the bones or limb away from the midline of the body.

Adduction

Moving the bones or limb toward the midline

Rotation
