What is Density?
The Ratio of Mass to Volume.

D=m/d
What is the difference between a mixture an a compound?
A Mixture is a blend of two or more kinds of matter, each of which retains it's own identity and properties. A compound is a substance made from the atoms of two or more elements that are chemically bonded.
What is the difference between homogeneous and heterogeneous?
Mixtures that are uniform in composition are homogeneous. Mixtures that are not uniform throughout are heterogeneous.
What is a physical property?
A property that can be measured without changing the identity of the substance.
What is a chemical property?
A chemical property relates to a substance's ability to undergo changes that transform it into different substances.
What is a chemical?
A chemical is any substance that has a definite composition or is used or produced in a chemical process.
What is a solution?
A homogeneous mixture.
What are the different branches of chemistry?
Organic, Inorganic, Physical, Analytical, Bio, and Theoretical.
(Oh, I popped a big tooth!)
What are the two parts of a chemical reaction?
Reactants and Products.
What is the difference between intensive and extensive properties?
Extensive properties depend on how much of the substance you have and Intensive properties do not.
How do you know a chemical reaction has taken place?
It forms a gas, precipitates, heats up or cools down, causes light or sound, or has a permanent color change.
How do molecules move in liquids?
Particles are close together, but have the ability to move past one another.
How do molecules move in gasses?
Very rapidly and are great distances apart compared to liquids or gasses.
What is a pure substance?
A substance that has a fixed composition and differs from a mixture in that every sample of a given pure substance has exactly the same characteristic properties and composition.
What are the 8 Major Chemicals in order?
Sulfuric Acid, Ethene, Propylene, Ammonia, Chlorine, Phosphoric Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, and 1,2 Dichlorothene.

How do laws of matter and energy relate to chemical reactions?
The amount of matter you start with will always be the same as the ampount of matter you end with, and the amount of energy you start with and end with will be the same or used in some way.
How do solids liquids and gases differ?
Solids: Molecules barely move, does not flow, and not compressible.
Liquids: Molecules move a little, flows easily, not easily compressible.
Gases: Molecules move a lot, flows easily, easily compressed.
