Chemistry is the study of the structure and properties of matter.
Define the term MATTER
Matter is any substance that has mass and occupies space.
Define the term ENERGY
Energy is defined as the capacity to do work.
Define the physical properties of matter.
Physical properties are those that can be observed or measured without affecting the identity of the substance.

Examples include colour, density, melting or boiling point, physical state, shape, odour, taste or hardness.
