Exact Numbers
those whose values are known exactly- have defined values or are integers from counting
ex. 12 things= 1 dozen
Inexact Numbers
those whose values have some uncertainty- numbers obtained by measurement-- UNCERTAINTIES ALWAYS EXIST IN MEASURED QUANTITIES!
Accuracy
