What is the 1st Law of Theromodynamics?
Energy is neither created or destroyed, but is only transfered.
What is the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics?
Entropy of the universe is always positive
What is 3rd Law of Thermodynamics?
As a system approaches absolute zero(0 degree's Kelvin) all processes cease to exist, and the entropy of the system will aproach a minimum value.
Enthalpy
The exchange of heat.
Symbol:H
Entropy
The measure of Uncertainty.
Symbol: S
Internal Energy
The heat given off by
Symbol:U
Endothermic
When the system takes in(absorbs energy)
Exothermic
When the system gives off energy
Sublimation
Going from a solid to a gas phase
This does not normally happen to molecules on a regular basis.
Deposition
Gas to a solid phase similtaneously
