Substance

A substance is a matter that has the same fixed composition and properties.

Heterogeneous mixture

A type of mixture where the substances are not mixed evenly.

Homogeneous Mixture

This contains two or more substances that are evenly mixed on a molecular level but still are not bonded together.

Another name for a homogeneous mixture.

Solute

The substance that dissolves.

Solvent
