What are the physical findings with abruptio placenta?

Sudden onset of intense uterine pain or tenderness or both
May or may not have occult bleeding If bleeding visible will be dark red in color Pregnancy is frequently preterm UC's present w/ increased uterine tone (hypertonus) - boardlike |

Grade 1, 2, or 3. Grade 1 = mild (<15% separation w/ concealed hemorrhage), Grade 2 = moderate (up to 50% separation w/ apparent hemorrhage), Grade 3 = severe (> 50% placenta separates with concealed hemorrhage)
