Follicle

Hair the hair bulb is formed/ tube-like pocket called the root sheath out of which the hair will grow.

Papilla

Small blood vessels (capillaries) that supply nourishment to the cells it called Germinal matrix

Germinal matrix

The area of the bulb where cell division takes place.

Cuticle

Hard residential layer of protein compared with the soft elastic quality of the cortex

Cortex

Second layer consisting of unique protein structures ( gives hair most of its pigment strength)

Cilla

Technical name for eyelashes.

Texture

Degree of coarseness of fineness in the hair fiber.

Density

Referred to as light, medium, or heavy, judge by the number of active hair follicles per square inch on the scalp.

Porosity

The ability of the hair to stretch and moisture, liquids, and chemicals.

Elasticity

The ability of hair to stretch and return to its original shape without breaking.

Albinism

Total lack of pigmentation in the hair and skin.

Vellus

Short, fine, non pigmented hair found abundantly in women.

Catagen

Brief transitional stage/ when all cell division stops. Last only few weeks.

Telogen

Resting stage when each hair bulb has no attach root sheath 10% to 15% of hair is in this stage lasting 3-4 months.

Pityriasis

(Dandruff disorder) chronic scalp condition with excessive flaking which accumulates on the scalp or galls to the shoulder itchiness, tightness.

Scabies

Red and watery vesicles or pusfilled areas caused by an animal parasite( itch mite) burrowing under the skin.

RingWorm

Red, circular patch of small blisters, caused by vegetable parasite.
