Social Interaction
the process by which we act and react in relationship to others.
Status
the recognized social position that a person holds
Status Set
refers to all the social positions that you occupy at a particular time. (Occupation{most important})
Ascribed Status
Refers to the social position thats received at birth, or involuntarily later in life
Achived Status
a social position a person takes on voluntarily that reflects personal ability and effort.
Master Status
is that status that has exceptional importance for social identity, often shaping a persons entire life.
Role
refers to the patterns of expected behavior that are attached to each status.
