The archduke and his wife of Austria- Hungary visited Serbia only to be shot by a group of assassinators. Serbia had nothing to do with it. Austria-Hungary hesitantly declared war. Germany, who had a secret alliance with Austria-Hungary, excitedly saw an opportunity to declare war and did so. |
