Critical incident stress debriefing (CISD)
A postincident meeting designed to assist rescue personnel in dealing with psychological trauma as the result of an emergency. (NFPA 1006)

A minimum of two fully equipped personnel who are on site, in a ready state, for immediate rescue of injured or trapped fire fighters. Also known as a rapid intervention team.
Rehabilitation
An intervention designed to mitigate against the physical, physiological, and emotional stress of fire fighting so as to sustain a member’s energy, improve performance, and decrease the likelihood of on-scene injury or death. (NFPA 1521)
