Capacity
A measure of dry or liquid volume of a  container.  The container has a capacity of 1 gallon.
Height
The measurement of distance from bottom to top.  Her height is 68 inches.
Length
The measurement of distance between 2 endpoints.  The length of my arm is 18 inches.
Nonstandard Unit
Units of measure that give approximate dimensions.  The desk is as long as 6 of my hands.
Weight
A customary measurement that tells how heavy an object is.  The dog's weight is 12 pounds.
Width
The measurement of distance from side to side.  The width of the stripe is 2 inches.
Capacity
A measure of dry or liquid units of capacity.  Ounces are customary units of capacity.  Milliliters are metric units.
Degrees Celsius
A unit for measuring temperature.  The temperature in the snow is 0° Celsius.
Degrees Fahrenheit
A unit for measuring temperature.  The temperature in the swimming pool is 78° Fahrenheit.
Estimate
An answer that is close to the exact answer.  12 x 779 = 9,348  12 x 800 = 9,600 (estimate)
Mass
Amount of matter an object has.  The mass of a math book is 1 kilogram.
Temperature
A measurement that tells how hot or cold something is.  When the temperature rises, I wear lighter clothing.
