what is clonal deletion?

T cells that do not recognize MHC I protein and most T cells that recognize MHC I protein in conjunction with autoantigens are removed by apoptosis.

what are regulatory T cells (Tr cells)

previously known as suppressor T cells, repress adaptive immune responses and prevent autoimmune diseases.

describe further clonal deletion

B cells with B cell receptors that respons to autoantigens are selectively killed via apoptosis

what are cytokines

are soluble regulatory proteins that act as intercellular signals to direct activites in immune responses

what all do cytokines include?

interleukin (IL's), interferons (IFNs), growth factors, tumor necrosis factors (TNFs) and chemokines
