Infinitive after preposition
Spanish always uses the infinitive after a preposition
In English we use the present participle form (-ing ending)
In Spanish pronouns are added after the infinitive, and are attached to it.
Antes de conocerte, no sabía lo que era el amor.

--> Before meeting you, I didn't know what love was.
Al + infinitive = upon + ing or when + verb
Al ver su sonrisa, supo que todo estaba perdonado.

--> Upon seeing (When she saw) his smile, she knew that everything was forgiven.
Para + infinitive = in order to +verb
Para festejar las bodas de plata, van a hacer un safrí en Africa.

--> In order to celebrate their silver anniversary, they are going on an African safari.
De + infinitive = if clauses in the present and the past
De terminar temprano la fiesta, iremos a tomar un café al centro.

---> If the party finishes early, we'll go to have coffee downtown.
