Constitutional Convention

Founders realized that the Articles left the Federal Government TOO weak.
They held a Convention in Philadelphia from May to September 1787. Originally formed to AMEND the Articles of Confederation. AMENDING the Articles was ineffective and the Founders decided to create a new Constitution. |
