The visible church consists of all who make profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and their children with them (BCO 2-1).

Power of church is exclusively spiritual, to proclaim, administer, enforce law of X revealed in Scrip” (BCO 3)

The sole functions of the Church, as a kingdom and government distinct from the civil commonwealth, are to proclaim, to administer, and to enforce the law of Christ revealed in the Scriptures.

BCO 4-1 Professing Christians together with their children gathered together and united by a common confession for the worship of the Triune God, in submission to His authority, and for mutual edification and spiritual growth--with a governing body
what is a mission church?
BCO 5-1
Same as particular church but no governing body; governed by others, w/ goal of becoming particular church ASAP decently & in good order (1 Cor 14:40).
The organization of a Particular church follows:

What is a Communing member (and their rights and priviledges)?
Profession of faith, baptized, admitted to Lord’s Supper.
Entitled to all rights and privileges: Pastoral oversight, instruction and discipline, government, vote (18+), hold office, etc
What is a non communing member (and their rights and privileges)?
Not entitled to all rights and privileges
Minors: Baptized, pastoral oversight, instruction, discipline and government
Adults: Baptized, pastoral oversight, instruction, government
What is an associate member?
c. Associate Members
Defined: Members temporarily residing in a location other than their permanent homes
Privileges: All rights and privileges, except voting and holding office
