Nazis policies for women women were discouraged from slimming as it was bad for child baring - on Hitler's mothers birthday women with large family were awarded medals this encouraged high birth rates - 1933 the law for encouragement of marriage introduced this was to make work for women look less attractive |

education - teachers had to swear on oath of loyalty to Hitler and join the Nazi teachers league, they had to promote Nazi ideals in the classroom - textbooks were rewritten to fit the Nazi view of history and racial purity - the lessons began and ended with the students saluting and saying 'hail Hitler' - Nazi themes were portrayed in every subject |

- in 1936 all other youth organisations were banned - from 1939 membership was compulsory - by 1939 there were 7 million members males( Hitler youth) - boys joined aged 10 - from ages 12-14 they become members of the Hitler youth - practiced marching, map reading and military skills females ( league of German maidens) - girls joined aged 6 - from age 14 and 18 joined league of German maidens - they learned domestic skills in preparation for motherhood |

they were very successful as the young are naïve and fresh minded it is easy to manipulate/brainwash them them because they do not know what's going on.

the SS( intimidation) - controlled by Henrich Himmler - bodyguards of Hitler - total obedience to Hitler - helped Hitler by removing other opponents Gestapo - 1933 set up by Goering - could arrest and imprison anyone - most feared Police courts - controlled by the Reichstag - they couldn't be too soft or Hitler would change their judgment - this meant that Nazi views were upheld in courts concentration camps - controlled by Himmler - played on peoples fears - to increase political opponents torturing them / hard labour |

the cabinet - eventually lost all their power, Nazi officials were put in the cabinet roles, 1938 no non-Nazi members the Reichstag - the enabling act meant that it change to chancellor the fuhrer - changed it from president to fuhrer meaning he had all power Reich chancellery -took it over this meant he could make new laws state governments - all state parliaments were closed by Nazis this gives powers in every single area in the country be able to change laws |

- magazines only printed what the Nazis wanted them to print - all radio stations were placed under Nazi control, Nazi message was heard everywhere - cinema, all films were shown to Goebbels before production - rallies, to advertise the power of the Nazi state - books, all books were censored 200,000 Jewish books were burnt |
