What is a coordinate plane
A grid used to locate points
What is an ordered pair
A pair of numbers, such as (5,-4) used to locate a point in the coordinate plane
What is an origin
An origin is at (0,0). This is the point where the numbers intersect.

The x-axis and y-axis separate the coordinate plane into four regions called quadrants.
