Communication
The process by which info is transmitted and understood between 2 or more people
The communication process model
Four main factors that influence effectiveness of the encoding-decoding process
1. Communication channel proficiency- ie. Being awkward in convos, rather text
2. Similar code books-sharing language, symbols, idioms, gestures
3. Shared mental models of the communication context-sharing knowledge structures
4. Experience encoding the message

Emotional contagion
The nonconscious process of "catching" or sharing another persons emotion by mimicking that persons facial expressions and other nonverbal behavior. (Seeing someone hit their head and also wincing)
