What is the Binary Coding System?
Called ASCII, it is made up of a series of zeros and ones. A binary Character is refered to as a bit.
What is a Bit?
A bit is the smallest unit of Binary Information.
How many bits make a byte?
Eight bits make a byte.

Whats the difference between an Internal Hard Drive and an External Hard Drive?
An Internal HD is the HD that is inside the computer itself. An External HD is located outside the computer and is often connected through a USB Port.

A USB Port is generally located of the back or front of a PC or on the sides of a Laptop. It allows for greater flexibility and usage of mobile devices such as Flash Drives and Digital Cameras.

Generally measured in kilobytes, megabytes and gigabytes, the computers memory is measured on the amount of kb, mb or gb it can hold. Terabytes are becomming a common thing with the advancement of technology.
What is RAM?
RAM = Random Access Memory
RAM is temporary memory that is designed to hold new data and is available only while the computer is turned on.
What is ROM?
ROM = Read-Only Memory
ROM is permanent internal memory inside the system, and is inaccessible by the user, and is used to store instructions that are installed or programmed at the manufacturer.
What is ALU?
ALU = Arithmetic Logic Unit
ALU is the sector of the CPU that performs the mathematical calculations that are required in many data processing programs.
