Directing
is the force withing the individual that influences or directs behavior.
Motivation
Comes from within the person, driving him or her to be productive
Intrinsic motivation
motivation that is enhanced by the work enviroment or reward
extrinisc motivation
people who focuses on improving what is; they transform ideas into action, judiciously and wisely; taking risks when necessary

people who focus their energies on families and friends; their overt productivity is less because they view thier contribution to society

people who are motivated by the power that can be gained as a result of specific action
