"erpoca" symphony
Beethoven's 3rd symphony. This piece changes the aesthetic of the symphony for this point forward. Originally intended to honor Napoleon, later changed to "celebrate the memory of a fallen hero"

a piece written for solo piano. Beethoven titled it "plaintive" for the solo piano sonata suggest the passion and pathos he felt within the work. It has great drama an intensity. extremes of dynamic, tempo and range. It also requires a great deal of technical skill and stamina on the part of the performer.
