Oath is a promise or covenant which also means 7. This story is in Chapter 7 and the word 7 is repeated 7 times. Noah was also told to bring 7 clean pairs of animals onto the boat. Noah also had to sacrifice some of the clean animals to God. 7 mainly represents the word oath and b/c of the repetition proves the covenant.
