Centrioles
Only found in animal cells. They have 9 groups of 3 arrangement of the protein fibers
Lysosomes
Called "Suicide sacks". Produced in Golgi Body. Destroy bacteria white cells engulf.
Chloroplast
The site of photosynthesis. Consist of double membrane.
Mitochondrion
The "powerhouse" of a cell. The site of respiration. Inner membrane has ruffles called cristae
Nucleus
The Control center of a cell. It controls all of the cell
's actions
Golgi Body
They recieve proteins and other newly formed materials from the E.R, pakage them, and distribute them to other parts of the cell.
Vacuoles
The storage areas for cells. Store food and other materials needed by the cell. Can store waste products
Endoplasmic Reticulum
Passageways that carry proteins and other materials from one part of a cell to another.
Ribosomes
Attached to some parts of the endoplasmic reticulum, and in the cryptoplasm. They create proteins.
Cell Membrane
Controls what subtances enter and leave the cell, like a guard.
