Allows things to move around cell. Holds the cell shape and organelles in place

Nucleus

Controls activity in cell by sending chemical messages. Location of DNA

Vacuole

Plants have a huge central vacuole that stores stuff. Small vacuole store food water and waste

Respiration. Breaks down sugar and turns it into energy for cell

Chloroplasts (only plants)

Ribosomes

Makes protein

Nucleolus

Has code called rna to make ribosomes

Endoplasmic reticulum

Modifies, changes and adds onto protein so they can do specific jobs. Rough ER - has ribosomes on it

Smooth ER - doesn't have ribosomes

Golgi apperatus

Packages and sends protein where they are needed

Lysosome

"Suicide sac". Surrounds waste and releases enzymes that dissolve the vacuole and waste inside

Centriole (only animals)

Helps cell divide by pulling apart chromosomes in cell division so each new cell gets one set of chromosomes
