1. The cell phone has become an integral part of our busy culture. They allow us to keep in touch by acting as a safety net for changes in plans or missed rides.
2. They can be a lifeline when time is of the essence during accidents or terriorism.
3.Not always are the school's phones available when they are needed most; when they are, too often there is a long line waiting to use them making students late to class.
4. Cell phones are a aid in helping keep order in a hectic world. Their use can be for good or ill. But cell phones are only a tool.
5.It is the user that determines whether or not cell phones are misused
6. Banning cell phones altogether would be very misguided in this complex and dangerous world we live in today.
7.At the very least, how much anxiety is spent when a child does not get off the bus or fails to come home for whatever reason.
8. There are just too many situations that might occur that could overload the school's response stategy.
9. It is too naive to believe that the communication between parent and school is infallible. I would not want to be the parent that the school could not or did not locate in an emergency.
10.Provide a structure for the use of cell phones and stick to it. Allow students to learn responsible use of their cell phones---it could mean a safer and happier world for all of us.
