CP training and certification program has three categories. What are they?
Initial, recurring, and recertification
Who can train an uncertified controller
Someone who is recommended by their supervisor, qualified to perform all tasks being trained, and have completed AF training course.
Controllers without C2 experience within the past two years must receive what type of training?
Initial
What two phases or certification areas must a controller be certified in to perform console duties.
Console operations and emergency actions
What is a phase test.
Test completed at the end of each phase. It must be a minimum of 30 questions with a score of 90 percent (critiqued to 100 percent)
What is the purpose of recurring training.
It's purpose is to ensure that you remain knowledgable and qualified in all areas pertaining to your unit's mission.
What is formal training.
Training on unit mission (Normally called the training meeting). It can involve lectures, powerpoints, or scenario based training. It's required quarterly. If any controllers miss the training, they will have 5 calender days after returning to duty to receive the training.
What is the self study letter.
A letter produced at the beginning of each month that outlines the month's training requirements.
What is proficiency training.
Proficiency training consists of written examinations or scenario based training.
At the minimum, what will each scenario training require?
Emergency management situation, processing of two EAMS, and creation/submission of an EAM.
How long do you have to be re-tested if you fail an exam?
5 duty days
If an UNSAT is received on a scenario evaluation, what actions are taken?
You will be decertified and be re-evaluated within 10 calender days.
When will a controller receive recertification training?
When the member has been gone for more than 60 days, PCS, TDY, or a decertification.
When will controllers start intitial or recertification training?
Within 15 calender days of reporting to the CP. Airman attending FTAC will start the day they return.
Certification tests must consist of?
30 questions from phase 1 and 30 questions from phase 2. 90 percent is the passing rate.
Who is the certifying official?
At the majcom, the Majcom CC. It must not be delegated below the Director of Operations. At the installation, it's the Wing CC. It must not be delegated lower than the Wing CV or comparable position.
Who is the recertifying official?
The CP Chief is authorized to recertify controllers who are absent longer than 30 days.
STS task can not be signed off until?
The controller demonstrates that they've achieved the required knowledge level of the STS task.
What two items are used to complete an Airman's training?
CDCs and CFETP
What is mandatory for achieving the Apprentice level (level 3).
Completion of the CP Apprentice course and initiation of all security investigation request forms for a secret clearence.
What is mandatory for Journeyman skill level?
Completion of CDCs.
What is mandatory for Craftsman skill level?
Completion of CDCs and all 7-skill level core tasks.
What is mandatory for 9 level (superintendent).
All formal training and OJT requirements
