Systemic circulation

Blood flow to and through the body.

Pulmonary Circulation

Blood from heart to lungs (drop off CO2) and back to heart

Arteries

Deliver blood from the heart to the tissues

Where exchange occurs

Veins

return blood back to the heart

Organ. Central pump that moves blood forward

Systole

The blood pressure when AV valves close and blood is flowing out of the heart

Typically a larger number

Diastole

The blood pressure when the semilunar valves are closed

Typically a smaller number

Vena cava

Venous return to the heart. Deoxygenated blood.
